photojournalism preview

i think that the photographers had to be involved a lot with people, they probably had to ask if they could be followed probably and also if they could be cart of the photographs. and they had to live with the people too for a while, they had to interact and be part of their life.

you have to talk to people and ask questions, do research and apply your own knowledge that you gained

to get pictures of faces in the crowd you will have to get in the middle of the crowd, turn around to face their faces and then take the picture, or you can get ahead of the crowd and then take the pictures from there

a photo essay is a collection of pictures placed in order so that it tells a sort of story or essay

find a topic, something that is interesting
do some research, to plan out the shots and set up for the story
find the "real story" then you can determine everything else
every story has values that touches the hearts of the audience
plan your shots, to get an idea of what you want

Lightroom Adjustments

for this picture i fixed it like i regularly would but noticed that my dog didn't have the tint that i really wanted so i used the adjustment brush to give him a more golden color.

for this one i used the tone curve to fix the lighting and to make the colors pop more like i waned.

Final HDR Photo

I decided to use the automatic method and it was pretty easy and fast to do , i think i feel pretty good with how it came out, it has all of the qualities i was looking for and looks good overall.

HDR

  1. High Dynamic Range
  2. it makes one photo really bright and colorful and another dark and another regular and it puts the best of both into one picture to make it the best.
  3. several shots of the same subject are taken with varying exposures
  4. you can use photoshop
  5. making sure you select the correct layer to edit

I would be able to take pictures in the field behind my house or the field at the end of my neighborhood and also the woodsy area close to my house, especially when theres flowers in the spring.
